Instagram-worthy hotels in Taipei

By , October 25, 2017

Five instagram-worthy hotels in Taipei that are between Ximending and Ningxia Night Market. What makes them instagram-worthy? Stacks of free instant noodles waiting to be photographed (and eaten) in the hotel lobby, inspired vintage interior design and local wall art, and the prettiest Shiba-Inu hotel mascot dog! If you haven’t cleared up some memory on your phone, you probably will after booking one of these hotels!

  1. Roaders Hotel – themed rooms, great for families
  2. Cho Hotel – trendy boutique hotel, great for design & dog lovers
  3. Re-Change Hotel – centrally located, great for shopping
  4. Jian Shan – vintage inspired, great for couples
  5. Finders Hotel – super fun,  great for spending all day at the hotel

1. Roaders Hotel

Taipei’s best choice for themed rooms geared at kiddos but, just like the best cartoons, also plenty of references only parents would appreciate, namely the sophisticated industrial, retro-accented design. As more and more hotels, including Roaders, offer tents for kids to build in rooms and video games we’re looking at a bright future where these forbidden past-bedtime luxuries are fast becoming as essential as toiletries!

2. Cho Hotel

Taipei’s best choice for an authentic Taipei experience. While we love fantasy themed hotels, a hotel themed around Taipei’s cultural heritage is just as awesome! Cho Hotel showcases the city’s love of old-meets-new through antique furniture and wall art that highlight scenes from Taipei’s past. With so many stories to be found around the hotel, and being that you’re in the land of storytelling experts, put your #instastories storytelling capabilities to good use. Plus, they have a Shiba-Inu hotel doggie named Ji Ron (二郎) to make friends with!

3. Re-Change Hotel

Taipei’s best choice for centrally located hotels, Re-Change is under five minutes from Taipei’s main station by foot. Decked out in road signs from the USA, if you didn’t before you’ll realise Taipei’s interest in American culture. Upon stepping out of the hotel you’ll be right in the heart of prime shopping district Zhongsheng, where you’ll notice Taiwain’s other big influence – Japan. Get your shop on at Japanese department store Mitsukoshi which is right by the hotel!

4. Jian Shan

Taipei’s best choice for lovers of nostalgia. Black rotary phones atop simple wooden tables, crochet covers on vintage leather couches, movie posters from the 50s on exposed brick walls… To stay at the Jian Shan is to step back in time, to Taipei’s mid-20th century past. And it’s not just the hotel but its surroundings that’ll catapult you right back into the past. The historical riverside Twatutia area in Datong Dsitrict, a major point of interest, is where European settlers came in the early 1900s and where Taipei’s food scene emerged and still thrives is just a short walk from the hotel.

5. Finders Hotel

Taipei’s best choice for a hotel you want to spend all your time at. Sister hotel of Roaders, expect to find the same awesome features at Finders, namely arcade games and free snacks. Curb the urge to pack instant noodles, Finders has you covered! With its inspired fairytale interior, a word to the wise – clear up enough memory on your phone before your stay here as Finders is a smartphone memory killer! As the sort of hotel you want to share with all your friends, there’s no excuse if you stay at Finders with the hotel’s free postcard forwarding service!
